Trona Freeman is a specialist in SEO, Pinterest management and content marketing for small businesses (and yes, that includes writers and authors). I was thrilled to chat to Trona about all things social media, finding a community and being online. I had an idea of what questions I wanted to ask her pre-recording but it was so lovely to chat to her we basically just had a conversation and went where it went.
Thank you for this it was a really interesting and useful discussion. I have always enjoyed using Pinterest for myself but could never really work out how to use it in relation to business. Have just set up my account (@frommyhookcrochet) and created my first pin so fingers crossed I have done everything right. One question I did have was - what is the etiquette on creating multiple pins for your board that all lead to the same webpage? Should you only have one or two that go to the same page or is it ok to make a few different versions that lead to it?
I’m late listening to this, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
I’ve always loved Pinterest but I’ve never felt as if I’ve been doing it ‘right’. I certainly didn’t think I could use Pinterest as a writer to bring in readers. What an eye opener! I’m really intrigued about your Pinterest course. I’m going to head off and find more details. Thanks again Helen and Trona!
I really enjoyed this conversation Helen & Trona. I am finding myself in that pivotal space of moving away from IG, which I used to love but don’t anymore towards creating helpful content for my ideal clients and people, which also has more longevity.
I remember someone mentioning Pinterest to me when it was still really new but never really got going with it, probably because I didn’t understand how it works. But it is now on my radar and I’m, like you Helen, trying to set aside some time to learn it and get going with it.

Really interesting conversation, thank you both. I need to listen through again with a notebook and pen!
